The Economic Circle demands that Illa reach an agreement with Junts and distance himself from ERC and the Commons.

The Economic Circle demands that Illa reach an agreement with Junts and distance himself from ERC and the Commons.

Jaume Guardiola points out that the Catalan government is far from an absolute majority and should move toward "centrality."

Junts is the "centrality," in the words of the president of the Círculo de Economía, Jaume Guardiola. For this reason, the executive has urged the president of the Generalitat and leader of the PSC, Salvador Illa , to move closer to Carles Puigdemont's party in his policy of pacts and to distance himself from the two forces that supported his investiture, ERC and the Comuns.

This is what Guardiola told the regional leader during the conversation held at the closing of the annual meeting of the Economic Circle , a forum for opinion gatherings of business leaders, academics, and executives from the region.

Guardiola has been highly critical of the demands that ERC and the Commons have been putting on the table, such as tax increases and greater housing regulations.

For this reason, Guardiola has argued that the Socialists should prioritize agreements with Junts . This is the party led by former president Carles Puigdemont , and which, as the business leader noted, is the "main opposition group."
