Forums to elect judicial magistrates in Quintana Roo begin this week.

This week, the Quintana Roo Electoral Institute (Ieqroo) will launch the in-person Public Forums of the Extraordinary Electoral Process of the Judicial Branch, an initiative that opens the door for citizens to hear and directly question those aspiring to hold magistrate positions in the state.
The meetings, which will be held in person, aim to promote an informed and transparent election ahead of the June 1 election, when the people of Quintana Roo will popularly elect the heads of the Superior Court of Justice and the Judicial Disciplinary Tribunal.
Through these forums, candidates will have the opportunity to publicly present their profiles, professional experience, and proposals for transforming the administration of justice in Quintana Roo.
In addition, a channel of direct dialogue with citizens will be opened, allowing voters to learn firsthand about those seeking to occupy a fundamental role in the institutional life of the state.
The forums will be held on May 20, with scheduled participation in the evening and broadcast via digital platforms. Candidates will be present at the corresponding venues.
Each session will be divided into two two-hour blocks: one from 5:00 to 7:00 PM for candidates for the Judicial Disciplinary Tribunal and another from 8:00 to 10:00 PM for candidates for the Superior Court of Justice. During this time, candidates will be able to introduce themselves, answer questions, and present their views on the Quintana Roo judicial system.
Citizens will be able to follow the live broadcasts through Ieqroo's social media and official channels. In addition, the videos will be available for later viewing, so that any voter can gain in-depth knowledge of the participants in this race.
