Rastreator expects to increase its revenue by double digits this year after increasing it by 10% last year.

Rastreator expects its revenue to grow by double digits in 2025, after registering a 10% increase in 2024. Furthermore, it is focused on growing its mortgage and energy comparison services, according to the company's president and CEO, Víctor López.
"2024 was a good year for us. At the beginning of the year, it was a little more complicated due to insurance restrictions, which were holding back new contracts , but in the second half of the year, or even after Easter, the trend was very positive, both in terms of traffic volume and contracts," he comments.
Regarding future plans and potential organic growth, López recalled in an interview with Europa Press that Rastreator has belonged to Mavriq, a division of the Italian group Moltiply, which groups together 19 comparison sites, since 2023. The company has recently acquired several comparison sites in the Netherlands, Italy, and Germany. "We're in a group where, if there's something interesting, we're open to it. Not only open, but several transactions have been made recently," López added.
This trend, which led to an increase in revenue and profitability, has continued into 2025, a year in which the comparator is recording a "very strong" increase in both parameters.
In the specific case of Spain, and also regarding the possibility of entering new products, López emphasizes that Rastreator already has a "very powerful and consolidated" brand in some areas and a range of 45 products.
"There are very few [products] left where we don't have a presence. For example, we launched the energy comparison tool just a year ago . We're growing a lot. We already have an operations center with many agents. Just like what happened with energy, if we see that it makes sense, then we're open to evaluating it. But we already have more than 45 products," says López, linking his response to the possibility of launching a comparison tool for pension funds and plans.
On this issue, the CEO of Rastreator comments that these are "somewhat complex" products where it is "more difficult" to make a comparison because, on the one hand, there is profitability, but on the other, there is risk.
"It's not that we're ruling it out, far from it, but it's true that one of our visions is to bring transparency and neutrality to the markets in which we operate," he continues. He adds that to launch it, there must be an "appetite" and that, by acting as intermediaries, Rastreator assumes responsibility for marketing investment products.
BBVA's takeover bid for SabadellOn the other hand, Víctor López believes that operations such as the takeover bid that BBVA wants to launch for Sabadell can benefit financial product comparators, and not just other banks , since these companies become "useful" tools for customers to compare: "A tool like Rastreator, which we work with all the banks , is useful when the offer is reduced."
López, who assumed leadership of the company in May 2023, explains that these situations encourage customers to compare whether they had one of the two entities in mind: "What we recommend is that the customer compare," he explains, also highlighting the transparency that comes with being able to see all the offers on the market and choose one of them.
Thus, just as banks have already indicated that these may be times to gain customers , financial product comparison sites may also benefit from the sector's movements. However, López clarifies that in Spain there is still a "very broad offering."
Beyond the direct gain, another effect of these operations is user ignorance . The comparison site explains, taking into account recent integrations, that when changes occur in the banking landscape, its advisors spend some time explaining and informing customers about the changes and the disappearance of certain products.
Mortgage is one of the businesses Rastreator is focused on growing , along with energy. In fact, the goal is to achieve 30% growth in the mortgage segment compared to 2024, a year in which growth was "more linear" than expected.
This is a segment in which comparison sites are gaining relevance, both for the benefit of banks and customers, who are often offered a personalized mortgage or one with better terms than if they went directly to a branch.
López explains that Rastreator, unlike other mortgage brokers, receives commissions from its partners , the banks, and only if the client successfully contracts the product. Furthermore, the percentage varies depending on the product.
As a result of the increase in comparators, the Spanish Association of Mortgage Brokers (AEBH) was recently born , in which Rastreator does not yet participate, since the actors involved do not yet have a great influence in the sector, although it does not rule out joining this or another association.
