Gabriel Milito believes Chivas deserved more against Charlotte FC.

After Chivas' qualification to the next round of the Leagues Cup became more difficult after a draw in their second group stage game, Gabriel Milito, head coach of Chivas, considered the result against Charlotte to be completely undeserved , given what his team showed on the field.
“I think the team did a lot to win the match. We dominated, we had chances, we were good in many moments, in one-on-one situations, when we pushed things forward. We performed very well throughout the match, and the result, logically, in my opinion, is completely undeserved. The errors and fouls right now are punishing us too much; it happened in the debut and the same thing happened today. But we'll keep going,” he noted.
He also emphasized that the result wasn't fair to his players' expectations, as they did everything in their power to win. However, he revealed that he's comfortable with his squad's performance, as playing this way will lead to victories.
“We're doing everything we can to get the result we want, which is to win. The three points and the end of the match are hard for us. I'm confident about the game. I'm confident that the team is competing the way I like, that they have the courage to attack, that they're dominating their opponents. The result wasn't fair; that, in football, is something that happens a lot. But, playing this way, I'm sure we'll win many games,” he added.
In the end, he emphasized that it is impossible not to give seriousness to the Leagues Cup , so he ruled out that the lack of results was due to a lack of interest from his players or on his part in the competition, since they showed commitment and quality.
“It's impossible not to take any tournament seriously. We always play to compete and to win. Winning isn't always easy, but we strive for it in every match. By no means did we come here without competing. We came to play our game and try to win both matches. Unfortunately, it didn't happen, but the team showed great commitment and seriousness,” he concluded.
