Will León go to the Club World Cup? CAS will make a decision this Tuesday.

This Tuesday, May 6, 2025, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) will issue its decision on Club León 's participation in the 2025 Club World Cup , following the hearing held on Monday, May 5.
The case focuses on FIFA 's exclusion of the Mexican team due to its timeshare ban policy, as both León and Pachuca belong to the Pachuca Group.
León, the 2023 Concacaf Champions League winner, appealed FIFA 's decision, arguing that it earned its spot in the tournament legitimately and operates independently within the business group.

In addition, Costa Rica 's Liga Deportiva Alajuelense filed a complaint with the CAS , requesting the exclusion of León and Pachuca from the tournament and proposing their inclusion as replacements, based on their position in the Concacaf rankings.
In the event that the CAS rules against León , FIFA plans to organize a match between the runner-up of the edition in which León won its ticket and the best ranked team in the FIFA ranking by confederation, to determine the team that would take its place in the Club World Cup .
The CAS ruling is eagerly awaited by the clubs involved and by FIFA , which has indicated that it will make further decisions based on the court's ruling.
