In the modern world, there is much talk about being able to speak and express what one feels, what one thinks, or the ideas one has, but little is known about the importance of silence in people's lives and in health, not only mental but also physical.

Silence has a direct impact on brain health. This was demonstrated by a study published in the journal Brain Structure and Function, which revealed that eliminating noise for at least two hours a day can help with the growth of new neurons.

Research has shown that mindlessness, in which there is no room for constant noise or worries, allows for the generation of cells in the hippocampus, the area responsible for memory, learning, and emotional regulation. According to the study, experts point out that occasionally eliminating impulses produced by screens or electronic devices, traffic in different cities, or, for example, conversations, allows the brain the necessary rest to reorganize information while activating a state of regeneration.

Research has determined that mindfulness has a significant and direct impact on mental clarity, emotional stability, and cognitive performance. During the trials, participants demonstrated improvements in several ways, including improved memory, fewer errors, and greater agility in problem-solving. Additionally, participants were observed to experience less anxiety and stress in their lives. See more: Clinomania, the desire to stay in bed all day: This is what your body would feel like

Thus, experts recommend gradually incorporating different methods of silence so that the brain gradually becomes accustomed to it. They also explain that it's best not to use screens in the morning; they also suggest taking breaks in the middle of tasks or stopping any activity for at least ten minutes as ways to gradually incorporate periods of stillness into your daily routine.
