It's true that Colombia is becoming one of the most attractive countries in the region for festivals , concerts with international artists, and sporting events.

In this context, people are defining their next trips based on these types of events. According to a recent study by the Booking.com platform, 63 percent of respondents are planning their trips around music festivals or concerts.
Likewise, 62 percent are willing to explore new destinations to attend a sporting event , such as next year's World Cup; and 46 percent prefer to experience cultural events in other countries and regions of Colombia.

When it comes to travel planning inspiration, social media tops the list. For example, 60 percent of Colombians say their main source of ideas is Instagram or TikTok. This is followed by recommendations from friends and family (57 percent) and internet search engines (39 percent). Booking platforms and travel guides also play an important role, with 33 and 31 percent respectively.
