On Saturday night, US President Donald Trump announced that the military had carried out a "successful" attack on three Iranian nuclear facilities.

"This is a historic moment for the United States, Israel, and the world," the president wrote. "Iran must now agree to end this war," he added.
Following the attack, British Airways announced the cancellation of its flights from London to cities such as Doha (Qatar) and Dubai (United Arab Emirates). "As a result of recent events, we have adjusted our flight schedule to safeguard the safety of our customers and staff, which is always our priority," an airline spokesperson said in a statement sent to EFE.
For now, the canceled flights include all flights scheduled to depart from London Heathrow Airport this Sunday and their corresponding return flights. The company spokesperson added that the situation is being monitored and "customers are being contacted to inform them of possible options while they work through this developing situation."

As a measure, British Airways is offering a flexible booking policy to passengers who booked flights to Doha and Dubai between this Sunday and June 24. They will be able to change their ticket for a later flight until July 6 at no additional cost.
According to British media, the measure comes after a British Airways flight from London to Dubai was diverted to Zurich, Switzerland, on Saturday night. Flight BA109, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, departed the United Kingdom at 9:53 p.m. British time and changed its trajectory shortly after entering Saudi Arabian airspace, according to the flight monitoring website Flightradar24.
The escalating conflict in the Middle East, following more than a week of cross-border airstrikes between Israel and Iran, intensified early last night after the United States bombed Iran's three main nuclear facilities, in an attack to which Tehran has promised a response with "lasting consequences."
