Paris Montmartre: Man arrested after climbing onto the altar of the Sacré-Coeur Basilica shouting "Allahu Akbar"
On Monday at around 1:40 p.m., a man climbed onto the altar of the Sacré-Coeur Basilica, " gesticulating violently " and shouting "Allah Akbar" three times.
A maintenance worker tried to stop him. The individual then punched him in the solar plexus. The basilica's security service intervened, before being joined by a military crew from the Sentinel force.
It appears that the suspect " does not appear to be in full mental capacity ."
