Shots fired in the heart of Clermont-Ferrand (63): a man between life and death, hit by several bullets near a drug dealing point this morning

The incident occurred early this Sunday morning at the top of Avenue Charras, in front of the Visitation drug dealing point, in the Clermont-Ferrand train station district.
Witnesses alerted the police around 5:45 a.m. When they arrived at the scene, they discovered the 18-year-old man lying on the ground, hit by two bullets and in cardiopulmonary arrest. Officers attempted to resuscitate him while waiting for the arrival of the Clermont-Ferrand fire department and the emergency medical services.
The young man was then taken to the Gabriel-Montpied University Hospital, in a critical condition. (…)
The investigation has been entrusted to the police of the Organized and Specialized Crime Division (DCOS) for "attempted murder" . "Given the location of the shootings, the hypothesis of a link with drug trafficking is favored, without obviously excluding other hypotheses" while the investigations have only just begun, added the magistrate.
