Women were in the spotlight at the Créadie 2025 awards: out of eight business creators honored this Tuesday, May 6 in Marseille, seven were women. Sofia Dbiha, from the French Riviera, head of Drive by Women in Roquefort-les-Pins, received the Women's Prize with the support of Banque Populaire Méditerranée. Committed to the issue of the feeling of insecurity that some women experience in transport—including taxis—she challenged the norms of a traditionally male-dominated sector and, in 2020, at the age of 28, created a 100% female VTC service, designed by and for women.
A great idea that's gaining traction, with 40 partners now operating in the Alpes-Maritimes region, Monaco, and as far away as Saint-Tropez. With the boost of the prize and the accompanying €1,000 prize, Sofia will boost her communications to reach a wider community... of women.
The Inclusive Ecological Transition Award went to Var resident Nellig Croiset and her company, La Ferme des Petites Mains, in Ollioules, which grows seasonal produce. The Biocoop Endowment Fund will provide support to finance equipment.
Six other prizes were awarded to entrepreneurs from Bouches-du-Rhône and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. To select the 86 candidates who applied this year, the jury based its selection on several criteria, including the company's innovation, the founder's life story, the company's tenacity, the number of jobs created since then, and its environmental impact.
