Besançon. Sleep, alcohol, physical activity: the criteria for participating in the CHU study are expanding.

Eleven patients have already participated in the Aphysoh study , currently underway at the University Hospital, to measure the effects of adapted sport on the sleep of people with alcohol use disorders. Three weeks ago, the criteria for participation changed and expanded to include even more volunteer patients: "patients taking benzodiazepines, a treatment that is unfortunately over/poorly prescribed in France, could not be included, which made many patients ineligible. From now on, we can include them despite this type of treatment," says Lilou Duquet, a doctoral student in neuroscience, who is leading the study.
As a reminder, the Aphysoh study (contraction of physical activity, sleep and "OH" the alcohol molecule) is aimed at volunteers, women or men, aged between 18 and 65. They will be assessed on their sleep, their alcohol use disorder, their physical capacity, their motivation, their mental health and their quality of life… 75% of participants will be entitled to three weekly adapted physical activity sessions for 3 months at the Besançon University Hospital. These sessions are supervised by a professional qualified in adapted physical activity and health.
Forty volunteers are needed in total. To participate or for more information: [email protected]
