The verdict is in: this Italian beach is the most beautiful in the world

Every year, the prestigious World's 50 Best Beaches awards showcase the planet's most magnificent shores. From Thailand to French Polynesia, via Madagascar, the Philippines, and the Dominican Republic, this world tour invites you to discover beaches of rare beauty in unspoiled environments.
Turquoise lagoons, secret coves, long stretches of white sand fringed with coconut trees... you sometimes have to travel far to get to these heavenly places and immerse yourself in unspoiled nature, far from concrete and hordes of tourists. But this year, surprise, the most beautiful beach in the world is just a two-hour flight from France!

Head to the east coast of Sardinia, in the Gulf of Orosei region, where the rugged Gennargentu Mountains plunge sheer into an almost translucent sea. This wild coastline, punctuated by sublime coves nestled in the cliffs, can be explored by boat or on foot, after long hikes in the fragrant scrubland.
It is here, at the end of a deep gorge, that the sublime Cala Goloritzè is hidden . Classified as a protected national monument in 1995, this cove covered with small white pebbles is backed by dizzying limestone cliffs, where a natural arch and a 143-meter rocky needle stand out, pointing towards the sky.

But reaching this paradise is earned, like all good things in life. Since access is regulated, it's essential to pay a €6 entrance fee and reserve a time slot to take the hiking trail, which is limited to 250 people. You'll walk along a sometimes rocky path in the shade of junipers, pines, and holm oaks, before reaching the irresistibly blue shore...
The site is so isolated and protected from any urbanization that it is one of the last refuges of the monk seal, a marine species threatened with extinction. You can also see dolphins, seahorses, groupers... Because beyond the postcard, the beauty of Cala Goloritzè also lies in its extraordinary biodiversity. We're counting on you to preserve it!
