A tornado hits Pozzuolo, causing damage to the Ostrich Festival area/ VIDEO

The severe weather that hit Udine on Sunday afternoon also affected Pozzuolo del Friuli. In the afternoon, a tornado caused extensive damage to the festival area managed by the Pro Loco, which hosted the Ostrich Festival two weeks ago. Final dismantling work was underway in recent days. The strong winds tore down a crate and two sheet metal kiosks, all properly anchored but unable to withstand the impact. Several modules were so damaged they could not be recovered. Pro Loco volunteers are currently securing the area. The dismantling and damage assessment will begin in the coming days.
