Brunello - Cuisine and music meet at the Brunello Pro Loco festival - - Varese News

Each dish will tell the story of a region and will be paired with a song by its most iconic singer-songwriter on the evening of August 2nd. Reservations are recommended.
A region, a typical dish and a singer-songwriter : this is the original formula with which the Pro Loco of Brunello is organising the event for the evening of Saturday, August 2nd , at the Oratory Park in Via Verdi 17. A popular festival, yes, but with a strong idea: to celebrate Italy through two great cultural heritages—cuisine and music—linking them together in a journey to be enjoyed and listened to.
“A journey along the boot” between taste and notes Starting at 7:00 PM, food stands will open, offering a selection of traditional dishes from different Italian regions. Each recipe will be paired with a local artist: for example, you can enjoy pesto while listening to De André, pasta alla Norma with Battiato, or braised beef accompanied by the lyrics of Paolo Conte.
At 9 pm, the live concert by the band MDF begins , paying homage to great Italian singer-songwriters. Their repertoire spans decades of music, from Lucio Dalla to Ivano Fossati, from De Gregori to Battisti, with each song symbolically paired with a region and its iconic dish.
Admission is free, and the evening is open to all. For organizational reasons, reservations are recommended.
