Controversy erupts in Manfredonia after vans were found among the tables at a grill restaurant.

In Manfredonia, there's controversy over the presence, every evening, of vans parked in the square in front of Palazzo della Sorgente, right between the tables of a grill restaurant frequented by residents and tourists. This situation, in addition to creating inconvenience, is described as "a concrete threat to public safety" by Alessandro Manzella , head of the Italian Environmental Guards.
According to Manzella, if for any reason one of those vehicles were to accidentally start moving, the consequences could be serious. "How is it possible," he asks, "that the authorities remain indifferent to such a blatant situation? Honest citizens deserve protection, not abandonment. It's time to intervene with serious checks and enforcement. Enough with tolerating incivility."
The complaint reignites the debate over the management of public spaces and the need for greater oversight of busy areas, especially during the summer months, when tourist influxes increase and the balance between commercial activities and traffic becomes more delicate.
