Gaza children evacuated from the Strip are leaving for Italy.

Eilat, August 13, 2025 The three Italian Air Force C130J aircraft carrying 31 children from the Gaza Strip will arrive in Italy late this evening. Accompanied by their families, they will be admitted to hospital facilities where they will receive healthcare and specialized medical care. The operation was made possible thanks to the coordination of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the synergy between the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Health, the Department of Civil Protection, in collaboration with the WHO, the European Civil Protection Mechanism, and the healthcare companies involved. "In dramatic situations like the Gaza Strip, solidarity is expressed through concrete actions, more than words. Today's medical transport is a further sign of Italy and the Ministry of Defense's commitment to the civilian population affected by a grave humanitarian emergency. Giving hope, saving a life, especially that of suffering children, means affirming the fundamental values with which we identify. To the civilian and military personnel who made all this possible and to the healthcare workers who will care for the young patients, goes my gratitude, as a man and as a minister," said Defense Minister Guido Crosetto.
