Agrigento, magistrates and lawyers bring the Constitution to the stage: at the theater "It's all Solon's fault"
AGRIGENTO – Justice meets the theater to tell the story of the Constitution and democratic values. Tuesday 9 July 2025 , at 9 pm, in the splendid setting of the Teatro dell'Efebo at the Botanical Garden of Agrigento, the show “Tutta colpa di Solone” will be performed, based on the novel of the same name by Andrea Cirino , directed by Giovanni Volpe .
The initiative is promoted by the Council of the Order of Lawyers of Agrigento and the Palermo district section of the National Association of Magistrates (ANM) , in collaboration with the Free Municipal Consortium of Agrigento .
It is not just a theatrical performance, but a moment of reflection open to citizens on crucial issues: Constitution, democracy, rights and duties , in a historical time in which – even in Europe – these principles risk being called into question.
Written by Andrea Cirino , the text is a narration between dream, memory and civil commitment. On stage will alternate Franco Bruno (Solone), Gioele Amato , Paolo Di Noto , Marcella Lattuca , Nicola Puleo , Daniele Fronda , Rosa Maria Montalbano , Pippo Crapanzano and Gero Galvano . Assistant director by Chiara Gervasi , music by Angelo Sanfilippo , executive production Caterina Montalbano .
The evening will open with institutional greetings from the president of the Libero Consorzio Giuseppe Pendolino , the president of the COA Vincenza Gaziano and the president of the ANM of Palermo Giuseppe Tango , who strongly supported the event.
“Tutta colpa di Solone” is much more than a show: it is an invitation to rediscover the value of participation and civic sense , through the power of theatre and words.
