Italian Institute for Historical Studies, 15 Scholarships: Application Deadline July 31st
The Italian Institute for Historical Studies announces a competition for annual scholarships for young graduates and PhDs in historical, philosophical and literary disciplines, for the conduct of further research. The call expires on Thursday, July 31st
12 grants of € 18,000 each, one of which is offered by the Fondazione Banco di Napoli, for research on the social and/or institutional history of the Kingdom of Naples that takes into account the documentation held in the historical archive of the Fondazione Banco di Napoli; 1 grant of € 18,000.00 gross, named after "Federico II" and offered by the University of Naples, for graduates of Italian universities with a thesis on medieval subjects; 1 grant of € 18,000 gross, offered by the Pio Monte della Misericordia for research on the documents of the Historical Archive of the Pio Monte della Misericordia of Naples.
Those who meet the following requirements may apply for this call : – under 32 years of age on the deadline of 30 August 2024 (born on or after 31 August 1992); – graduates and PhDs who have discussed their master's or doctoral thesis by the deadline, in Italy, in European Union countries or abroad, in historical, philosophical and literary disciplines, and who wish to pursue further research. Candidates who have already benefited from scholarships at the Institute may not apply.
Candidates must fill out the online form in the dedicated section of the Institute's website ( www.iiss.it) no later than July 31, 2025 , uploading the required documents in PDF format. Alternatively, the application can be sent to the address "Borse di studio", Istituto italiano per gli studi storiche, Via Benedetto Croce, 12 - 80134 Naples, by registered mail with acknowledgement of receipt, which must be received by the Institute no later than August 30, 2024, together with the relevant documentation.
