Randstad, over 192 thousand work contracts activated in 2024
The multinational employment services company Randstad has closed 2024 with very positive numbers: turnover exceeded 2.2 billion euros, thanks also to the 192,444 employment contracts that were activated during the year. After all, Randstad manages approximately 55,500 temporary workers per week, of which 28,894 have a permanent contract and provides training courses for a total of 294,084 hours. Added to this are the 20,491 people who were hired by companies through Randstad's search and selection service and the 10,000 students who benefited from job orientation activities in schools throughout Italy.
The company has a network of 280 branches and 3,478 direct employees, including 642 new hires in 2024, who have received 83,500 hours of training to constantly update their skills. In the internal organization, 55% of senior management roles are held by women, with a 94.5% return to work rate after parental leave. The UNI PdR 125:2022 certification on gender equality, achieved in 2023, guides organizational choices and policies for the growth and well-being of people. Among the various projects, the “Randstad Grow Up” continues, which has paid out 547,000 euros to 469 new parents: 1,000 euros per year of contribution to each employee who has a child (up to the age of six). While “Baby Randstad” has provided 582 thousand euros in contributions for nursery school (250 euros per month) to mothers or fathers. «While the global debate on sustainability is going through phases of uncertainty, we look ahead: our goal remains to be the most equitable and specialized talent company in the world - says Marco Ceresa, CEO of Randstad Group Italia -. We believe that sustainability is a guiding principle, to be built over time, through consistent behaviors, daily choices and courageous investments. With this awareness, we continue to put people, their potential and well-being at the center in a context of growing talent scarcity and radical transformation of the labor market in which expectations change, technologies evolve and inequalities become more acute».
In 2024, the commitment to social integration continued with Without Borders, the project for the job placement of migrants and refugees, which involved 1,469 migrants and refugees in training courses during the year, as well as the partnership at the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. 2024 was also the year of the launch of the Randstad AI & Humanities Foundation to explore the intersection between human sciences and artificial intelligence.
