The Friuli Venezia Giulia Furniture Cluster launches a "Forest in the City" in Trieste.

Trieste has launched "Foresta in città," an urban space where visitors can rediscover the connection between the city, the region's forests, and wood. This project, developed by the FVG Wood and Home Furnishings Cluster with the support of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, aims to enhance regional wood and promote the sustainable management of Friuli Venezia Giulia's forests. The permanent space , which will be built in the heart of the regional capital, joins the network of the Wood and Home Furnishings Cluster, a benefit organization that has been committed to developing the local forestry and wood industry and culture for years.
The inauguration will take place on Tuesday, September 23rd at 5:30 pm at Via Muratti 1. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be attended by Stefano Zannier, Regional Councilor for Agri-food, Forestry, and Fisheries; Edi Snaidero , President of Cluster Arredo, along with Director Carlo Piemonte; and Serena Tonel, Deputy Mayor of the City of Trieste. This will be followed by a talk by designer Matteo Ragni , curator of the installation, who will guide participants on a tour of the urban forest, illustrating the significance of the project and the connection between the city and the regional forests.
