"Diagnostic tests are essential, including for guiding treatment methods. A legislative approach is needed to streamline their use, allowing the scientific innovations made available to be implemented effectively for the benefit of patients." Vanessa Cattoi, promoter of the inter-parliamentary group "Together for a commitment against cancer" and member of the Chamber of Deputies' Budget, Treasury, and Planning Committee, said this today, speaking in Rome at the press conference "Stomach cancer: the value of diagnostic tests."

The MP then focused on the importance of "general practitioners, the first point of contact with the patients directly affected," and on the legislator's commitment to "work on information campaigns related to the importance of prevention, the importance of healthy lifestyles to promote daily preventive action."
