Drones for emergency medical assistance, Sis 118 launches Seuam

Revolutionizing healthcare emergency through the use of drones and mobility systems Urban Air Mobility. This is the objective of the agreement. of technical-operational partnership between Sis 118, UrbanV and D-Flight, an Enav Group company, for the launch of Seuam (Sanitary Emergency Urban Air Mobility). The project experimental is conceived and coordinated by Mario Balzanelli, President Sis 118. It was born with the aim of reducing drastically reduce the response times of the Emergency System Territorial 118 in cases of sudden cardiac arrest, shock hemorrhagic, anaphylactic shock, acute intoxications, or other health emergencies, where there is imminent danger of lose their lives, thanks to latest generation drones capable to transport, under real-time direction of the Operations Centers 118, defibrillators, blood products, life-saving drugs and medical devices directly to the emergency site. "Reduce intervention times, even by just one minute, when life is in danger - says Balzanelli - it means save, with certainty, many human lives. With Seuam, Sis 118 experiments with innovative air support solutions advanced resuscitation of the critical patient, bringing the rescue healthcare on the most critical scenarios, in the shortest time possible, thanks to innovative technologies and partners of excellence, such as UrbanV and D-Flight". UrbanV is an operator of drones certified in the design and management of infrastructures dedicated to drones, while D-Flight guarantees technical support for the safe and efficient integration of drones in the airspace. The initiative, in an initial experimental phase (2025-2028), will see flight tests in the municipalities participating in the project, including Altomonte (Cs), Santa Lucia di Serino (Av), Massa di Somma (Na), Pizzo Calabro (Vv), Laterza (Ta), Rosciano (Pe) and Trebisacce (Cs). In these scenarios, drones will be used to deliver lifesaving devices in record time, overcoming obstacles logistics and reducing dependence on emergency vehicles traditional.
