CSM: Quorum reached, Parliament elects Daniele Porena

The quorum of three-fifths of voters, required to elect a lay member of the CSM, was reached. Daniele Porena, a name nominated by the center-right, was elected—and proclaimed by the president-in-office Giorgio Mule'—while the opposition cast blank ballots. Porena received 333 votes.
Porena, born in 1976, is a lawyer and professor of Constitutional and Public Law at the University of Perugia.
She replaces Rosanna Natoli, who resigned.
The required quorum was 287 votes, Porena obtained 333. No abstentions, no dispersed votes, 21 invalid ballots and 123 blank ballots (the opposition forces).
