Genoa, dossier on Salis: a former councilor and the commander of the police investigated

The Genoa prosecutor's office has opened an investigation that sees the former city councilor for Security, Sergio Gambino, and the commander of the local police, Gianluca Giurato, under investigation for dossier-building. They are said to be behind the leaks on Silvia Salis, mayor of Genoa.

In 2024 Salis had hit a pedestrian on a pedestrian crossing: the file had been classified but for the former athlete there had been no consequences. According to the Genoa prosecutor's office, whoever spread the news had published false details.
