The Council of Ministers gives the green light to the infrastructure decree. The government challenges the law on the third mandate in Trentino

The Infrastructure Decree Law has been approved by the Council of Ministers. The Ministry of Transport announced it, underlining that it is "an urgent and strategic measure desired by the Vice President of the Council and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini , to strongly accelerate the construction of key infrastructures, optimize the management of public contracts, ensure the efficiency of the transport system and enhance the value of state property, in line with the objectives of the PNRR and European commitments". Among the interventions, there are provisions regarding the Strait Bridge, Milan Cortina 2026, Formula 1 GP, Public Contracts, Road Transport, Civil Motorization, Motorway Concessions, Port Regulation, Maritime State Property, Air and Rail Transport.

The government challenged before the Constitutional Court the law of the Autonomous Province of Trento that raised the limit of consecutive mandates possible for the president of the body from two to three. The measure was voted against by the League.
