Few Italians, bankruptcies and old stadiums: it's a football full of problems

Few Italians on the field, old facilities, no championship reform: our football is not doing very well, and we saw it last night with the national team. Foreigners are increasingly occupying Serie A: Italian footballers are now a clear minority. The data from the season just ended explain that the 400 foreigners (who took to the field) quota was exceeded for the first time, 68 percent cannot wear the blue jersey: there are fewer and fewer Italians, they have dropped below 33 percent. Disappeared. A problem for Spalletti and all the other coaches. But nothing can be done, nothing has been wanted to be done in the past and now the international rules are these. Hypothesis: if a club wanted to have 11 French players play, it could do so since France is one of the 27 member states of the European Community.
There is no longer any talk of league reform (too many professional clubs, 20 in A, 20 in B and 60 in C). And in the meantime, clubs are going bankrupt: see Brescia, Spal, Lucchese. In Serie C, to reduce the number of players, it would be enough to block repechages, but that is not possible, there are too many conflicting interests. It is positive, however, that there are stricter rules with registrations, even if they are not enough.
Stadiums chapter. "This year will be decisive, next week we will bring a sports decree to the Council of Ministers which will also include the next commissioner with a commissioner platform that will collaborate with the mayors and will give a decisive boost to all the infrastructure processes that concern the stadiums": assures Minister Andrea Abodi. Then, on the 2032 European Championships, he states: "They are a challenge already partly won because Italy will be the organizing country together with Turkey (which has the stadiums, ed.). The FIGC will have to indicate 5 stadiums to UEFA, 3 cities are slightly ahead. Turin is a stadium that is already ready, Rome with the Olimpico will have to do something even if we expect that at least another stadium will be built here. Naples is in competition, Milan will have to resolve the misunderstanding of San Siro, then two cities will be missing. The South cannot be missing, and the heart of Italy and the South is Naples, which must do something and the time has come to do it".
Florence should make it and if Naples fails, time is tight now, the choice would fall on Bari or Palermo. The South must be there. The commissioner was promised last year but the timing of politics, sometimes, is not short. Figc and Lega di A have waited...
