In the blue of Chengdu, finswimming launches its challenge

The finswimming world is bitterly disappointed that it hasn't (yet) been included among the demonstration disciplines at the Olympics, the first step towards its official inclusion in the Olympic Games. So in Chengdu, China, at the World Games, the "water sprinters" will once again gather in the pool to demonstrate the sheer spectacle of a sport that continues to grow. Italy, too, is bitterly disappointed that the Olympics remain a taboo, given that Italian athletes are among the best in the world.
In the East, the Italian expedition that the FIPSAS coaches have called up is made up of Giulia Bruni, Giorgia Destefani, Viola Magoga, Marco Orsi, Anna Raffaetà and Giorgia Scagliarini.
"We aim to surprise everyone," they say in unison, "because medals are within everyone's reach, including us. Hearing the anthem ring out from the podium is the dream."
