Petrarca Gymnastics at the International German Gymnastics Festival

Arezzo, May 25, 2025 – Ginnastica Petrarca on the floor in the largest and most attended gymnastics event in the world. Thirty-four athletes from the Gymnaestrada group will leave on Monday, May 26 for Leipzig for the Turnfest - German International Gymnastics Festival, scheduled for Wednesday, May 28, and Sunday, June 1, which will offer sports competitions, shows, and demonstrations that are expected to be attended by over eighty thousand people from all continents. The Arezzo-based company will be among the protagonists of the International Gala hosted at 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 29 at the Quarterback Immobilien Arena, where it will have the honor of being the only Italian company to perform and where it will present a choreography designed to tell and pay homage to the wonder of some of the most important sculptural works in history.

The presence at Turnfest confirms Ginnastica Petrarca among the world's leading realities in Gymnaestrada, the discipline that combines rhythmic and artistic exercises in spectacular choreographic performances between sport, dance and art. The Arezzo group, trained by Federica Peloso and led by Alessia Peruzzi, brings together gymnasts of different ages who, over the years, have deserved applause at events in Italy, Europe and around the world for the technical quality, creativity, emotional impact and team spirit that characterize each performance. Further moments of entertainment will also be offered on the stage in Augustusplatz where, on Friday 30 May, Ginnastica Petrarca will stage some choreographies capable of involving and enchanting the international public with an explosion of energy, color and harmony. The performance in the square in Leipzig will be an opportunity to share the beauty of gymnastics as an art form and to continue to represent Italy in a context where sport will also be understood as a vehicle for dialogue, inclusion, comparison and cultural exchange.
