Pordenone driver Federico Buttò will be in Türkiye at the start of the Transanatolia

We often return to places where we cherish fond memories. Thus, Federico Buttò, a driver from Pordenone, will once again be at the start of a race he already won in 2021. The reigning Italian Side-by-Side champion will take part in the Transanatolia rally, open to cars, motorcycles, quads, SSVs, and trucks, scheduled for August 30th to September 6th in Turkey.
The race begins in Bursa and ends in Bolu after a 2,500-kilometer journey. It begins in the city that was the first capital of the Ottoman Empire; it passes Tuz Golu, one of the largest salt lakes in the world, reaches Cappadocia, and concludes its journey in the thermal spa town of Bolu. The Transanatolia race combines history and culture. Incidentally, the rally begins on August 30, the day Turkey celebrates Victory Day, thus honoring the memory of the 1922 Battle of Dumlupinar, where Mustafa Kemal Ataturk led the country to freedom.
Buttò will return to the starting line of the event after a two-year absence. He will compete in the Can Am Maverick, the same vehicle with which he won the overall standings in 2021 alongside Filippo Ippolito. On the same tubular vehicle, he finished third in his class in 2022 with Martino Albertini. This time, the Pordenone native will be navigated by Emiliano Tinaburri, a co-driver with whom he has previously shared the cockpit in the Italian specialty championship. Assistance in Turkey will be provided by Nicola Creatti of HRT Technology, while logistics will be handled by Evasioni.org. Buttò will race with the LTS Racing Team. Oesse, a company that produces radiators and heat exchangers, is the sponsor supporting the driver in the Turkish race.
"I'm happy to be back at the start of this race," the driver said before departing for Bursa. "I have special memories of the Transanatolia, considering the victory I achieved in 2021. But that's not all: it's a unique event, given what it represents from a historical and cultural perspective. I can't wait to get to the starting line."
