Varese - Two shows and a sports award for the Locatelli Primary School Festival in Masnago - - Varese News

Also this year the Locatelli primary school said goodbye to its children with two shows: the first, coordinated and managed by Martin Stigol, founder of the Progetto Zattera theatre production centre, and the second followed instead by Alessia Ferrari of Solevoci, an association committed to the promotion of choral music, and the teachers.
The oratory of Masnago, carrying forward a consolidated relationship of collaboration between educational institutions, for a more complete and balanced education of the children, has offered its spaces to these events.
The showsThe show “Theatre knocks on the door” featured performances in which the classic tales of Snow White, the Ugly Duckling, the Bremen Town Musicians and Ulysses and Penelope were creatively reinterpreted . The concert “Journey through musical genres” followed with a series of evocative pieces such as “Dance of the Hours”, “Kumbaya”, “Clap and Jump”, “Uptown Funk”, “L'ombelico del mondo”, “Amazing Grace” and “Ai Ninnora”.
“ Expressive activities are fundamental components in education because they allow children to express what they experience and feel, to stimulate divergent thinking and harmonious development, to learn to listen and interact and to begin to cultivate tools that offer keys to reading and interpreting reality – explain the teachers – In this way, children are sensitized to the taste of beauty and helped to develop a more serene and conscious relationship with themselves and with others”.

During the musical show , Paolo Talamoni was also remembered, who was a beloved pupil of the Locatelli primary school and who unfortunately passed away eight years ago, following a serious illness, when he was almost nineteen years old. To remember Paolo, who was also a very good basketball player, the Paolo Talamoni award was established, in which the sporting talent of Alessandro Calabrese, a fifth-grade student, was recognized by his classmates through a vote.
The award ceremony was attended by Paolo Talamoni's parents and Matteo Argenti, a representative of the Paul's Friends association, which also this year has organized basketball tournaments that will take place on the Campus courts on June 21 and 22, always in memory of Paolo. The proceeds from the sales of gadgets and t-shirts will be donated to the Giacomo Ascoli Foundation.
Finally, an emotional farewell to the fifth graders, with the throwing of the cap and a dinner for all those present prepared by the representatives of the Parents' Association, which always offers its assistance in view of a collaboration that promotes the harmonious development of children. A special thanks to the pastry shop of Masnago that offered exquisite cakes for dessert.
