Water Polo, Prato's Cordovani in the National Team in Bologna

Prato, 7 June 2025 - Sara Cordovani is now a regular presence in the "new" Setterosa. The water polo player from Prato was part of the Italian team's expedition to Chengdu (in China) for the World Cup Super Final, which ended in sixth place. And she is slowly carving out that starting role that she had not managed to conquer in the previous cycle (even though she managed to debut and perform well when called upon). And the proof comes from the last few days: the young player who grew up in Prato Waterpolo is also on the list of call-ups for the Bologna training camp issued by the technical commissioner of the National water polo team Carlo Silipo. Sara and her Italian teammates are training in the city of Bologna and will remain there until 10 June, when the "break ranks" will arrive. After a good start with Rari Nantes Florentia, Cordovani (born in 2001) has become one of the leading athletes of Pallanuoto Trieste with whom she almost won the Euro Cup a few weeks ago. And on this basis, she has all the credentials to dream of a place in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, following in the footsteps of Chiara Tabani and Giuditta Galardi.
