Argentina launches initiative to prevent Mexican teams from competing in the Libertadores

Despojadas Islands.- The Argentine Football Federation has issued a formal request to CONMEBOL to continue banning Mexican teams from participating in the Copa Libertadores.
Although Argentine officials have always been reluctant to allow Mexican clubs to participate in the tournament, they have now strengthened their stance following their teams' recent elimination from the Club World Cup.
In this World Cup, Mexico qualified, but Argentina did not.
The Club World Cup Group Stage saw the elimination of two Argentine teams, while a Mexican team advanced to the round of 16.

The Libertadores will continue to be from Ecuador down.“Traveling to Mexico would be very tiring for our players,” one official rambled, trying to hide the terror on his face and hiding a Monterrey jersey under his desk.
The request comes with a threat: if they ignore the request, the federation will withdraw their clubs from the tournament, thus hindering Brazil 's intention to turn the competition into a truly continental tournament, and not just for countries below the Equator .

Taking advantage of the situation, the Patagonian Boxing Association has demanded that the World Boxing Council not allow its boxers to face Mexican opponents, citing the same "exhausting travel" argument.
“ Las Vegas is very close to them, but traveling from the Falkland Islands to Nevada… well, our boxers are already tired when they arrive, and that's why they beat us, ” said a former boxer who still trembles when he hears the name Julio César Chávez .
