Arajet announces new route to Córdoba starting in November

Tourism Minister David Collado and Arajet , the national airline, announced this Wednesday the opening of a new direct route between the city of Córdoba, Argentina , and Punta Cana , Dominican Republic.
Through a press release, it was reported that this new connection reinforces the airline's commitment to continue expanding air connectivity between South America and the Caribbean, further consolidating the Dominican Republic as the quintessential tourist destination for Argentines, as well as positioning the country as the new air hub for the American continent.
With this new route, Arajet becomes the first international airline to offer direct flights between Córdoba and Punta Cana , providing Argentine travelers with an affordable option to enjoy the Dominican beaches, culture, and hospitality.
- Flights to Córdoba will go on sale on July 1 and will begin operating on November 8, 2025, with an initial frequency of three flights per week, on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
In addition, Arajet announced that it will resume its Buenos Aires–Santo Domingo route with two weekly flights, on Mondays and Fridays, starting December 12, 2025; and flights between Buenos Aires and Punta Cana will also be increased to 13 weekly flights, thus expanding the range of options available to the Argentine market.
In total, Arajet will end 2025 with 18 weekly flights between the Dominican Republic and Argentina .
Minister highlights the importance of connectionMinister Collado highlighted the importance of this new connection to continue strengthening the country's international position.
" Argentina is already the third largest source of tourists to the Dominican Republic, behind only the United States and Canada, and it expects to grow by 100% in 2025. This is due to increased frequencies, as Arajet has done, and the launch of new routes that didn't exist before, like this one to Córdoba," he said.
Meanwhile, Víctor Pacheco, CEO and founder of Arajet , highlighted that the sustained growth of its operations in Argentina is the result of a joint strategy with the Ministry of Tourism , which has firmly committed to opening new markets and strengthening the Dominican Republic's presence as a leading destination in the region.
