The Community invests more than one million euros in Mad Cool to attract tourism to the capital.

The Governing Council of the Community of Madrid has approved a €1,089,000 investment in Mad Cool, a festival that will feature artists such as Olivia Rodrigo, Gracie Abrams, and Arde Bogotá, to attract tourism to the capital from July 10 to 13.

According to a statement from the regional government, the sponsorship investment is part of the regional government's strategy to attract international tourism and consolidate the region "as a leading venue on the global circuit for major musical events."

With this measure, the Community of Madrid will have a "prominent presence" at the venue—for the third time in the Villaverde district —through its own tourism promotion space and a stage.

The agreement also included a social media campaign before and after the festival to educate national and international audiences about the region's tourist attractions.

More than 180,000 people are expected to attend the eighth edition of Mad Cool , 29% of whom will be from other countries, to attend concerts by major bands and artists from the music scene such as Olivia Rodrigo, Kings of Leon, Gracie Abrams, Benson Boone, Arde Bogotá, Iggy Pop, Alanis Morissette and Thirty Seconds to Mars, among others.

In 2024, this festival generated an economic impact in the Community of Madrid exceeding 45 million euros and created 5,900 jobs (1,600 directly and 4,200 indirectly).

In addition, during last year's Mad Cool event, more than 1,650 publications were made in the press , digital media, radio and television, reaching 707,658,530 users, representing an advertising return of more than 11 million euros.

347 journalists from 215 national media outlets and 62 journalists from 42 international media outlets were accredited to cover the festival and its celebration in the region.
