The May Method: On-site works and direct support define the government

The governing style of Tabasco Governor Javier May Rodríguez is defined by a clear strategy: a combination of constant presence in the region, significant investment in public works, and the provision of support through direct social programs, without intermediaries.
Several months into his administration, Javier May's government model in Tabasco is consolidating with a method that replicates and deepens the strategy of the "Fourth Transformation." It is a dual approach that seeks, on the one hand, to generate a visible impact through infrastructure and, on the other, to build a direct connection with citizens through social programs that extend "from card to hand."
This way of exercising power, centered on territorial action and the transfer of resources, has even been validated by the Tabasco Electoral Tribunal, which recently determined that the governor did not engage in personalized promotion, thus giving the green light to his communication and management style.
The governor's strategy is based on two fundamental pillars that reinforce each other:
The governor personally leads the "Territory Assistance Days" and "Public Hearings," taking his cabinet to the most remote municipalities. These tours are not just for oversight purposes, but also acts of political communication that translate into concrete investment announcements.
* In Jalapa, more than 114 million pesos have been allocated to public and social works.
* In Jalpa de Méndez, the investment exceeds 103 million pesos for the transformation of the municipality.
The second pillar is the creation or strengthening of programs that deliver benefits directly to the population, eliminating intermediaries and generating a perception of immediate government support.
* Tandas para el Bienestar: This program, focused on women's economic empowerment, has already benefited 6,550 women in Tabasco.
* Universal pension for people with disabilities: In collaboration with the federal government, this is now a reality in the state, and the first cards have been distributed.
* Wellness Stores: Investments are being made in their rehabilitation to improve the supply of food and other products in the most remote communities.
* Free textbooks: Distribution of 3.2 million books has begun for the next school year.
An analysis of this political model reveals a clear intention to build a solid foundation of loyalty and an almost personal connection between the leader and the citizens. By being physically present in the communities and providing tangible support, Javier May's government seeks to consolidate its long-term political project, based on visible results and a discourse of closeness to the people.
