Dorados responds and ties the series against Saraperos de Saltillo

After the dramatic victory of Saraperos in the first game of the series, the Dorados de Chihuahua responded with a constant offense and took advantage of defensive errors to win 10-5 in the second game held at the Francisco I. Madero Stadium .

The game began with a flurry of runs for the visiting team. In the first inning, Jesse Castillo drove in the first two runs with a single to right. Shortly after, an error by first baseman Renato Núñez allowed one more, and Matt Bottcher extended the lead to 4-0 with a double. A bases-loaded walk to Leobaldo Piña capped a five-run first inning for Dorados .

In the third inning, Gilberto Vizcarra popped out to center field to drive in Chihuahua 's sixth run, and the team didn't slow down despite the lead. It wasn't until the fourth inning that Saraperos responded with an offensive effort that included consecutive singles by Núñez, Alex Mejía, and Brandon Villarreal , who brought in four runs, bringing the team within 6-4.

However, Saltillo 's defense lost ground again in the top of the seventh when a Missael Rivera error allowed Dorados to score their seventh run. In the eighth, a single by Leobaldo Piña drove in Jacob Rhinesmith, and although Matt Bottcher was thrown out at third, Chihuahua regained a four-run lead.

In the top of the ninth, Alejandro Mejía sealed the victory with a home run to left field that drove in two more runs. Although Saraperos attempted another comeback in the bottom of the inning with a Villarreal single that allowed Christian Morales to score and Alex Mejía to advance to third, the offense failed to generate any more momentum, and the game ended 10-5 in favor of the visitors.

With this result, the series was tied at one game apiece, forcing a third game to determine the winner. The evenness on the field revealed two teams that knew how to strike in key moments, although they also suffered from defensive errors.

The series finale will be played this Wednesday night in Saltillo , where Saraperos will look to win the series in front of their fans.
