Border clash. Why did the police attack the Poles?

Thursday's spontaneous gathering on the Polish-German border in Świnoujście took an unexpected turn. Men demonstrating in defense of the border against Germany planting foreigners were attacked by Polish police, who are now explaining their reaction.
On Thursday afternoon, the residents of Świnoujście spontaneously gathered on the border between Świnoujście and Ahlbeck. They were mainly residents, but also fans of the local Flota, and guests from neighboring Wolin and other parts of the region. The gathering was peaceful, because those gathered had a common goal, which was to demonstrate their disagreement with the procedure that is also taking place in Świnoujście. This concerns the night-time transfer of foreigners to the border areas by German services. Two such cases were documented by residents, but – as they claim – such situations occur all the time. The men do not agree that people who are not welcome in Germany should end up in Poland and function in our country without any jurisdiction. At least two such cases have been recorded in Świnoujście. Once, Somalis were dropped off, and another time Sudanese. The services had to intervene twice. Once, it was successful on the border itself, another time in the city. Hence the movement of border defenders, which is a spontaneous gathering. Yesterday's event took place in a peaceful atmosphere, which is why it is incomprehensible what the incident was.
Warning: the video contains profanity.
No one expected that in defense of Polish borders, there would be a clash with Polish police. In the recording of one of the participants, we see how one of the policemen cannot stand the pressure (the demonstrators used vulgar words) and uses gas against the gathered people.
The Polish Police issued a statement on the matter several hours after the incident. "Yesterday, after the spontaneous gathering near the Świnoujście - Ahlbeck border, one of the officers used a direct coercive measure in the form of pepper spray against a person who did not comply with his orders. In connection with this situation, the City Police Commander in Świnoujście ordered the initiation of activities aimed at explaining the intervention, and in particular whether the officer's reaction was in accordance with the applicable regulations," we read in the Polish Police statement. ©℗

"The boys" instead of getting down to work stand around and pretend to defend something from an imaginary enemy. Instead of building the strength of the country with their work, they stand around like pillars and pretend to be patriots.

A demonstration is not a riot. I don't blame the police.

If the police used all their powers, competence and above all brain cells for all cases entrusted to them, maybe there wouldn't be so many dismissals. But it's better to chase the guys who took our fate into their own hands when the state apparatus is clearly failing.
