Poboży on the PSL movement towards Trzaskowski. "Witos is turning in his grave"

- Wincenty Witos is turning in his grave looking at what his political successors, led by Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, did - said Błażej Poboży, advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland, in "Graffiti", referring to PSL's support for KO candidate Rafał Trzaskowski in the second round of the presidential elections. - This is an unimaginable mistake - he added.
On Monday, the Polish People's Party (PSL) unanimously supported Rafał Trzaskowski in the presidential election, and the KO candidate himself symbolically accepted support from the party's leader , Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, at the monument to Wincenty Witos .
The host of "Graffiti" Marcin Fijołek asked whether it will help Trzaskowski reach some voters from the right? - I doubt it, and the worst thing is that Wincenty Witos is turning in his grave looking at what his political successors, led by Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, did . I had the impression that it was a negation of the entire political line that this outstanding leader of the people's movement pursued in the interwar period - commented Poboży.
The president's advisor explained that Witos differed from Trzaskowski when it came to the entire programmatic agenda. He added that Kosiniak-Kamysz was at the "opposite pole" to what the pre-war PSL leader represented.
- How could the leader of the people's movement (Kosiniak-Kamysz - ed.), a peasant party strongly rooted in national tradition, religion, and ties with the Church, both institutional and universal. How could such a politician and the entire leadership of this party support the most progressive left-wing-liberal candidate , who, at least through his rule in Warsaw, proved that he is extremely far from religion and the Catholic Church. This is an unimaginable mistake - assessed Poboży.
