Sails 2025 is starting. A weekend celebration under the masts in Szczecin

The great sailing festival of Sails 2025 is kicking off in Szczecin. Final preparations for the event were underway Friday morning, with more participating vessels also arriving at the quays.
At 12:00 noon, to the sounds of the 8th Wind Band Festival, the Sailing Zone officially opened. At the same time, the Children's Zone at the Mickiewicz Monument opened, where youngsters can enjoy workshops, activities, and maritime-themed games. Łasztownia is also home to the Holiday Park Szczecin amusement park, and the ZWiK (Residential and Commercial Water Treatment) zone offers not only refreshing water but also exciting scientific experiments.
At 6:00 PM, Bloco Pomerania Samba Port – a parade to the rhythm of Sails – will march through the streets of Szczecin. Its route will run from Wały Chrobrego through Zygmunta Starygo - Jarowita - Szczerbcowa streets and back towards Wały Chrobrego.
During the Żagle Festival, the Boulevards and Chrobry Embankments transform into party promenades. The Żagle Fair will offer nautical souvenirs and regional delicacies, while the Alley of Artists will showcase handicrafts from far-flung corners of Poland. A Food Port and numerous food trucks await hungry visitors.
There will also be plenty of activity on the water. The last vessels will be moored at the quays by 3:00 PM. This is a unique opportunity to board them and chat with the crews. Tour times will be determined by the captains.
During the Żagle Festival, sea shanties and sea tales will resound. Grodzka Island will transform into a clubbing zone that will last until late at night. The main stage will feature performances from 7:00 PM by stars Banach and Friends, including Renata Przemyk, Wojtek Waglewski, and Kamil Bednarek.
Organizers encourage event participants to leave their cars at P&R parking lots or SKM stations and use public transport. Timetables have been extended for this occasion, and additional bus and tram lines have been launched.
