Another blackout in Europe. A huge outage at our neighbors'

- We currently have a power outage, especially in Prague, the Central Bohemian Region, Ústí, Hradec Králové and Liberec. Trains have stopped on several railway lines and public transport dependent on electricity is hampered. I ask all passengers for their understanding and patience. Power workers are working to restore power as soon as possible. Prague Airport was not affected by the power outage. Motorway tunnels also remain operational. According to the Czech news agency CTK, cited by TVN24, the power outage is caused by a fault.
- At the moment we can confirm that there has been a failure of the V411 line . Part of the transmission system is disconnected from the power supply, and the event has also affected most of the transmission system's power stations. The causes are being investigated, and engineers are working intensively to restore the electricity supply - said Lukáš Hrabal, the head of the communications and public relations department at ČEPS, the Czech power grid operator, as quoted by TVN24.
- Due to disruptions in the operation of the Czech power system, we would like to inform you that the national power system (KSE) is operating stably and safely. The situation in the Czech Republic has not affected the operation of KSE - PSE stated on Platform X.
