Germany wants to spend 25 billion euros on new tanks. That will be thousands of units

According to Bloomberg, NATO has asked Germany to contribute up to seven combat brigades to the alliance over the next decade .
The total value of the order may amount to up to EUR 25 billion.The order being considered by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and top Bundeswehr generals would include up to 1,000 Leopard 2 battle tanks and up to 2,500 GTK Boxer armored fighting vehicles, according to agency sources. The tanks are being manufactured by KDNS and Rheinmetall , while the combat vehicles are being manufactured by ARTEC, a joint venture of KDNS and Rheinmetall.
The total value of the order could be as much as 25 billion euros . Negotiations on the orders are still ongoing, the final number of vehicles could be lower.
The orders are expected to be finalized in the coming months, and lawmakers could give the green light by the end of the year, these people said.
