PLN 36.96 million for cybersecurity training in healthcare. FERS recruitment has started and will last until July 11

On May 20, competitive recruitment was announced under the FERS Program. It concerns the training and improvement of competencies of healthcare system employees in the field of cybersecurity principles.

The Ministry of Health explains that the purpose of the recruitment is to select projects for funding, in terms of conducting education and improving the competences of healthcare system employees in the field of cybersecurity principles. The recruitment of applications lasts from May 20 to July 11, 2025.
The subject of the recruitment is the selection for funding of only one project , which provides for training and improvement of competences of healthcare system staff in the field of cybersecurity principles.
Additional documentation required to verify the access criteria and award criteria, which are described in detail in Annex 6 to the Project Selection Regulations, should be submitted via the "Correspondence" module in the SOWA EFS system.

As stated on the European Funds website , the applicant is an entity that, in the last three calendar years preceding the year of submitting the application for funding, conducted documented training activities in the field of cybersecurity in all 10 key areas indicated below, carried out at the request of other entities, with a total value of at least PLN 1 million, addressed to at least 1,000 participants (in total):
- Physical Security
- Network Security;
- Information Security;
- Application Security;
- Operational Security;
- Endpoint Security;
- Cloud Security;
- Mobile Security;
- Data Security;
- Legal basis and basic information on GDPR regulations for healthcare entities and protection of sensitive medical data.
The aforementioned funding can be obtained for conducting training for healthcare system staff in the field of cybersecurity principles. The maximum allowable amount for funding one project may be PLN 36.96 million.
Includes:
- co-financing (95%): including from European funds (82.52%) and from national funds (12.48%)
- own contribution (5 percent).
