One could therefore hope for something big from Hurkacz during the tournament in Paris. And as it turned out, the Pole completely failed and was eliminated from the Grand Slam competition in the first round. He himself explained after the loss in the capital of France what had an impact on his much worse performance.
Pegula also performed very well in Germany, as did Świątek. However, the American showed a much worse side in London. What will happen to the Pole? The fans of the Polish tennis player will find out on Tuesday (i.e. July 1), late afternoon . Then, the number 4 in the WTA ranking will face the Russian, Polina Kudermetova.
The furthest Świątek has reached the legendary London tournament is the quarterfinals – in 2023. How will it be in this year's edition? It seems that it should be good. In the 2025 season, the Pole played in two Grand Slam semifinals, in Melbourne and Paris. Who knows, maybe it's time for a third such result to add to the season's collection.
On the other hand, Wimbledon 2025 is full of surprises from day one.
