Pogoń will play its final pre-season friendly on Saturday . The match against Warta Poznań is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Florian Krygier Municipal Stadium, and the friendly will be combined with a team presentation for the 2025/26 season.
Pogoń's squad has undergone significant changes compared to last season. Five new players have officially joined the team: Musa Juwara, Marian Huja, Paul Mukairu, Mor N'Diaye, and José Pozo. Several players from the reserve and youth teams are also training with the first team. It's possible that even before Saturday's presentation, the team will be joined by other new players: Łukasz Gerstenstein from Śląsk Wrocław and Ervin Omić from Austrian side Wolfsberger AC.
Pogoń has played three friendly matches so far. In the first friendly, played during the summer training camp in Opalenica, they won 1-0 against GKS Katowice. In the next, they defeated Banik Ostrava 3-1, and in the closing match, they lost 0-2 to Ekstraklasa newcomer Arka Gdynia.
Saturday's match will be preceded by a fan festival. The stadium gates will open at 11 a.m. A Family Fan Port with plenty of attractions for children will be available at the parking lot on Witkiewicza Street. A club sales point selling new matchday jerseys for the 2025/26 season, as well as other merchandise, will be located in the A4 stand.
At 12 noon, the official presentation of the first-team squad and coaching staff will take place, followed immediately by the final pre-season test for coach Robert Kolendowicz's team. Last season's top scorer, Efthymis Koulouris, is expected to be with the team this weekend. Due to the birth of his son, he was in Greece until Thursday and missed Pogoń's pre-season group photo.
Pogoń will kick off the 2025/2026 season on July 20 in Radom against Radomiak.
