How much did Iga Świątek earn at Wimbledon? The Polish woman has already made a fortune!

Iga Świątek in the Wimbledon final – that's the biggest news in Polish sports in recent hours. Our singles player will be competing for a historic victory on Saturday, but it's already clear that thanks to her outstanding performance, she'll leave London with a huge sum.

Wimbledon is not only about prestige, but also about money. Just for reaching the quarterfinals, Świątek earned £400,000, or just under 2 million złoty! Reaching the semifinals, on the other hand, boosted her earnings to £775,000, which translates to 3.8 million złoty!

The Polish player performed brilliantly in the semifinals against Belinda Bencic, becoming the third Polish player in history to reach the Wimbledon final. For this occasion, she will receive at least £1.52 million, or PLN 7.5 million. Interestingly, Agnieszka Radwańska earned three times less for reaching the Wimbledon final in 2012.

If the five-time Grand Slam champion wins against Amanda Anisimova on Saturday, she will earn as much as three million pounds, or almost 15 million złoty!

Świątek has won the US Open and the French Open four times in her career. Now she has a chance to become the first Polish woman to win Wimbledon. Previous finalists include Jadwiga Jędrzejowska in 1937 and Agnieszka Radwańska in 2012.
