If Lech Poznań releases this, it will be the end of the world
Then came the competition with Jagiellonia Białystok at their own stadium (1:2), which the Częstochowa team started very well, scored the first goal, but then lost two. True, after penalties, but they undoubtedly belonged to the guests, who eventually returned to Podlasie with smiles on their faces. Raków could not handle it. Korona Kielce also plays great football and it was known from the beginning that they would not give up and as a result, the Polish champions from 2023 lost as many as five points in the last two games.
This is a huge surprise to me, I would not have predicted such a scenario. Raków was my clear favorite in the competition for the Polish championship precisely because he was painfully solid, pragmatic, goal-oriented, and at the same time calm. He was able to pull out victories, even if everything was not perfect. But as life shows, sport has its charms, sometimes a minor failure in a match causes irreversible changes.

The match with Jaga from a week ago showed that Medaliki lacked a leader. It was a match tailored for Leonardo Rocha, there were a lot of crosses, but the Portuguese came on in injury time, Ivi Lopez had come off earlier, who was the driving force of the hosts throughout the match and one of the best on the pitch. Erick Otieno made many crosses, but there was no one to finish them off. Marek Papszun was not on the line and his absence was felt. There was no leader on the bench. I think that Raków lost the championship in this match with Jagiellonia, and not with Korona. I wrote the same thing recently, of course, that they are close to the title, especially after Lech's draw in Radom (2:2), but there was another change. However, if Kolejorz let it go now, it would be the end of the world for their fans. In my opinion, there is no such option - Lech will become the Polish champion.
Now there are voices that Korona has not given up, and warm comments glorifying Zieliński are coming from Poznań, where 15 years ago he reached for the national championship with the Poznań team. Coach Zieliński has been going through a great rebirth for several months. He is making a comeback to the coaching bench in great style. And I really don't think that the Yellow-Reds, who played at their own stadium for the last time this season, are going to play for Lech, because they simply played for themselves and under Zieliński's leadership they are showing themselves from a really great side, they got out of trouble.
The coach focuses on young players, including Poles, the team fulfilled the youth minutes requirement in November, and was the first of the elite. Zieliński shows that it can be done. Of course, good news has come to the club during the current season, there is a new owner who loves Korona and wants to invest in it, peace has appeared, no one is nervously waiting for the city council session, for votes on funding, recapitalization of the club. There will be no more financial problems.
Since Korona, led by Zieliński, got on the right track, they have been playing simply great football. In every match they did everything they could to win, not only on Saturday against Raków. And although it sometimes didn't work out, like on Saturday, Korona's play this season can be pleasing. Lech's rivalry with Raków has no significance here.
