PZPN suffered a huge blow. "It was losing touch with reality"

There has been a lot of noise around the Polish Football Association in recent weeks. This is mainly due to the huge fuss surrounding the most important football team in the country, the Polish national team.

Shocking reports about the Polish Football Association and the heavily intoxicated reality

From the stripping of the captain's armband from Robert Lewandowski, through "Lewy's" resignation from playing in the national team under Michał Probierz's baton, finally the embarrassment in the match against Finland (1:2), to his final resignation from the job of coach.

Not enough? It turns out that this is just the beginning. Currently, the most important topic seemed to be the issue of choosing Probierz's successor as coach . However, it looks like the PZPN will have another "fire" to put out.

This is because of the text that was published today, Wednesday (i.e. July 2). It touches on many topics related to the everyday life of the Polish Football Association during the time of the chairmanship of Cezary Kulesza.

Here is a fragment related to... the qualifying match (World Cup 2022) against Albania, in March 2023. In the main role, as we read, is president Kulesza.

- During the break in the match he was so drunk that he lost touch with reality and did not go to the stands. He was accosting women, talking nonsense, slapping someone, hanging around Daniel Obajtek's neck and saying he loved him. After the match he was forcibly led out of the box. The vice-presidents told him: "Czarek we are leaving now, for your own good", and he started shouting: "I am not leaving without Andrzej!" - claims one of the witnesses. Then Kulesza was supposed to chant: "Andrzej, Andrzej".

There was consternation in the box. Because at that time the main guest of the honorary box was President Andrzej Duda. Many thought that Kulesza was chanting about the president. "And he meant Andrzej - one of the PZPN activists. He wanted to take him to the after party. And people were absolutely convinced that he meant Duda," says the witness.

– When Duda appeared in the box, after a courtesy conversation he quickly left. I heard that he was outraged by what was happening there – describes another participant in these situations. A few days later, Piotr Nowacki, advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland, was to informally inform the Polish Football Association that the situation was so embarrassing that the president would never appear there again.

“Never” lasted about a year.

We asked the President's Office about these situations. We did not receive an answer to any of our questions. Kulesza does not answer either.

It is worth adding that last Monday (i.e. June 30), President Kulesza was almost unanimously elected for another term at the head of the Polish Football Association. The "opposition" led to the replacement of vice-presidents, proven people of the head of the federation, a lot has also happened in the context of the composition of the board. But the same man remained at the head, as you can see, a rather controversial figure - in the broader context - of journalistic reports.
