We know the first quarter-finalist of Euro 2025

Norway beat Finland 2-1 and the hosts beat Iceland 2-0 in Sunday's second round of Group A at the European Women's Championship in Switzerland. The Norwegians were the first team in the tournament to secure a place in the quarter-finals.

Norway's victory in Sion was decided by an unusual goal by Caroline Graham Hansen in the 84th minute. The 30-year-old Barcelona player seemed to be trying to cross the ball, but it hit the post and went into the net, past the surprised goalkeeper of the rivals.

- It was intuition. You try something that no one expects and then it falls into place. I can't think of a better explanation than that, Graham Hansen told Norwegian station TV2.

After two rounds, the Norwegians have a full set of points and are already certain to advance to the quarter-finals, and to boot, from first place in the group. They will fight for second place in the last round in a direct clash between the Swiss and the Finns, who have collected 3 points each.

Iceland, which has been left with no points, has definitely lost its chance to get out of the group after Sunday's 0:2 defeat to Switzerland in Bern (both goals for the hosts were scored in the last quarter of an hour).

The Polish team, who are in Group C and lost 0:2 to Germany in the first round, will play against the Swedes on Tuesday.
