What a feat for a Polish woman. Three medals in the European Championships!

Flawia Kamzol won three medals, including one gold, at the European Junior Swimming Championships that ended on Sunday - two individually and one in the relay. On the last day of the competition in Samorin, Slovakia, she won the 50m butterfly. The Polish national team won four medals in total.

The Galicia Kraków athlete achieved a time of 26.17, improving her own Polish record among 18-year-olds, which she set in the qualifying rounds (26.44).

As reported by the Polish Swimming Association, Kamzol had earlier won bronze in the 100m butterfly and also took third place in the mixed 4x100m medley relay.

During the six-day competition, Paulina Baran also stood on the podium, winning silver in the 200 m breaststroke.

In the medal standings of the European Championships in Samorin, Poland took 11th place. The best was Great Britain, with its representatives standing on the podium 19 times (9-5-5).
